February 28 - DeFuniak Springs To Pensacola

Got up, coffee, walk, found new campground destination in Pensacola and broke down camp. Traveling took about an hour and a half on the two lane roads. Travel was smooth. Saw the first stretch of FL HWY 90 paved in brick. It’s been preserved as a pedestrian path with the modern road running alongside.

Arrived at the campground and checked in with a gentleman named Wendall Williams. The campground is relatively new and located on property shared by his brother’s nursery business and he told us we could walk wherever we wanted on the property. Sunny and I both enjoyed that although the nursery does not appear to be well cared for and there was a lot of junk and debris around. Lots of places for rodents to hide and entice Sunny! At the campsite met a neighbor named Linda who is an archeological student from SE FL.
