Considered heading to Flamingo on the road through the Everglades National Park. Decided instead to drive Old US-41 across the north edge of the Park and through Big Cypress Preserve. Stopped and saw Daren Edelheit in Bonita Springs and then proceeded to Ft. Desoto near St. Petersburg. Arrived around 7pm, just after dark. Checked in and found the campsite. First time backing in and setting up in the dark. It wasn’t a perfect set the first try but in a few minutes got it backed in and hooked up. Ate leftovers for diner.
